Cowboys can redefine 'quarterback hell' vs Jets in Week 2

Daniel Jones was holding on to dear life as Micah Parsons went after him while opening up one-on-one opportunities for his teammates. There was nowhere he could run and, quite honestly, no one to help him in the passing game. It was quarterback hell for the man who just received a $160 million deal earlier this year.
Next Sunday, the Cowboys have a perfect chance to put somebody else through quarterback hell. Maybe even redefine what it means.
The New York Jets will be facing the Cowboys defense with Zach Wilson leading the charge following Aaron Rodgers' devastating season-ending injury. Make no mistake about it, the Jets can put up a fight with such a talented defense as it's really one of the best in the NFL.
But Wilson (and his offensive line) inspires very little confidence that this can be a close game. No wonder the oddsmakers make the Cowboys 9.5-point favorites.
You see, the Jets entered the season with a bottom-12 offensive line, per PFF's rankings. But Aaron Rodgers, known as a gunslinger for his long bombs and highlight plays, is dangerous because of how quickly he can get rid of the ball.
It's safe to say Zach Wilson doesn't fit that bill. In Week 1, Wilson had the second-longest time to throw in the NFL with an average of 3.13 seconds. The only quarterback that took longer than him was Patrick Mahomes, which is obviously different since the Chiefs QB can work some magic Wilson can't even dream of.
With a pair of right tackles that allowed pressures consistently against the Buffalo Bills, Wilson is in for a long, long day. As much as possible, the Jets are going to be keeping the offense going through the run game. It'll be up to the Cowboys to force them into passing mode and then, Parsons & friends should be able to call game.
