Dallas Cowboys cornerback Stephon Gilmore had himself a night against the Philadelphia Eagles with nine tackles and a forced fumble during his team's 33-13 win.

His best tackle might've come on fourth down and nine, when he was matched up in man coverage against DeVonta Smith. Despite Smith's renowned speed, Gilmore was right there with him every step of the way as he brought him down well behind the sticks.

But the best part of Gilmore's night might've been his coverage, which doesn't exactly show up on the scoreboard. For the most part, he was matched up against Eagles WR1 A.J. Brown and he even traveled with him frequently.

"I told them I wanted him," Gilmore told reporters after the game. "I've done it my whole career and it lights a fire in me because I love those moments, going against other great guys on the other side of the ball."

After the game, Gilmore revealed Brown called him old during the matchup. It's safe to say he took it personally.

"I was mad," Gilmore revealed via Clarence Hill from Dallas Morning News. "I was going to show him. That's the only thing I could do. I'm still here and I think I did that today."

Gilmore's forced fumble came against Brown and it's fair to say the Cowboys cornerback took his man away in many plays, particularly in the deep game. That being said, it was a boxing match in which Brown scored some jabs of his own as he caught eight passes for 88 yards against Gilmore, per Next Gen Stats.

It's fun to see personalities like this clash in a rivalry as heated as Cowboys vs. Eagles, especially in a year where the division is still on the line. The Cowboys could very well see Philly a third time in the playoffs and watching a veteran and a young one go at it will sure be fun.
