There is always something going on surrounding the Dallas Cowboys.  Earlier this offseason, one of the biggest things that happened to the Cowboys was trading for veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

Dallas now has a formidable three-year attack through the air with Cooks, All-Pro CeeDee Lamb, and hopefully a healthy Michael Gallup. Speaking of wide receiver trades,  though, the Cowboys are looking into another.

The New York Jets and former second-round pick Denzel Mims have hit a crossroads and are heading toward a divorce. Well, the Jets have contacted the Cowboys about a possible trade for him.

According to Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated, the price could be as low as a conditional seventh-round pick. That's peanuts, to say the least.

This isn't the first time this particular transition has tried to be executed.

Dallas was one of several teams that called the Jets about trading for Mims last summer. The asking price was a fourth-round pick but the Cowboys didn't go for it.

Mims only has 42 receptions for 676 yards and no touchdowns for his career. However, at 6'3 and 210 pounds, Mims has the size to be a big mismatch problem. Also, he has blazing speed (ran a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash), and that's something the Cowboys' offense has been gathering this offseason so Mims would be a welcomed addition.

The Cowboys had an interest in Mims going back to the 2020 NFL Draft, and the attraction has stuck around ever since.
