The Dallas Cowboys are the NFL's biggest attraction, and one can argue in any sport. However, sometimes it's things beyond the game of football that take the forefront.
On May 6 at Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas, a mass shooting occurred that took the lives of nine people including the gunman who was fatally shot by law enforcement. The youngest victim was a three-year-old boy and seven others were injured.
The Cowboys have stepped in, and during their final mandatory minicamp practice on Thursday, the team and staff were seen wearing "Allen Str8ng" shirts at The Star in Frisco to honor the victims.
Times like these are extremely difficult for families. Death is a part of life, but to have people you hold near and dear to your heart senselessly murdered is devastating because their lives were taken for no reason.
Those who lost their lives that day didn't know it would be the final time they walked out of their homes alive. However, the Cowboys are making sure their memories live on.
Salute to the Cowboys organization for this amazing gesture.
The shirts can be purchased here.
