After tipping their hand on Saturday by elevating two centers from the practice squad, the Dallas Cowboys confirmed suspicions by including starter Tyler Biadasz on their Week 3 inactive players list. The slight surprise came with Zack Martin's status, who is also inactive.

Biadasz's status means it'll be either Brock Hoffman making his first career start at center. Hoffman would need to be signed to the 53-man roster next week if the team wants to keep him as their backup center. T.J. Bass is expected to start at right guard per multiple reports.

Not having Martin and Biadasz, two of the three interior starters for the Cowboys offensive line could complicate things for the offense even against the 0-2 Cardinals. After all, a lack of continuity on any offensive line can be a lethal blow to any unit. That being said, the team is still heavily favored (and should be) entering Week 3. It'll be a good test for a team dreaming of a Super Bowl run.

The Cowboys are getting back Brandin Cooks, Tyler Smith, and Donovan Wilson for the game versus the Arizona Cardinals. Check out the full inactive list below.

Cowboys Inactives for Week 3

  • C Tyler Biadasz
  • RG Zack Martin
  • QB Trey Lance
  • DB Israel Mukuamu
  • CB Eric Scott Jr.
  • DL Viliami Fehoko Jr.
  • WR Jalen Brooks

UPDATE: Despite being active and named a captain for the week, Tyron Smith is in doubt to start on Sunday vs the Cardinals.

Key observations

  • With Cooks back in the lineup, seventh-round draft pick Jalen Brooks is once again a healthy scratch. This is the second week where three drafted rookies are inactive while healthy.
  • Cardinals inactives for Week 3
