The Dallas Cowboys, whether they are successful on the field or not, will always be the center of attention in the NFL. I mean, they aren't called "America's Team" for nothing.

An intricate figure in getting the Cowboys to be the most valuable sports franchise in the world is team owner Jerry Jones, who never saw a camera he didn't like. The master salesman and business-savvy head man of the Cowboys will now get to have his story from a little boy in Arkansas to a Hall of Fame inductee told in a docuseries from Skydance Sports and NFL Films according to Variety.

The project is currently in development and will feature never before seen content that will highlight a plethora of well-known Cowboys figures like Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, and former coaches Hall of Famer Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer.

At the moment, this production has no title or release date. It will be the first project that Skydance Sports and the NFL have put together since the announcement last November of Skydance Media and its partnership with the league to create a global multi-sports production studio.

Skydance Media has produced its fair share of noteworthy films including several movies of the Mission Impossible franchise and 2022's "Top Gun: Maverick" starring Tom Cruise.

"We are incredibly excited to create a thrilling ride through one of the most memorable and high-powered turnarounds in football history," said Ross Ketover, Senior Executive, NFL Films. "Launching this first series with Skydance Sports marks a momentous occasion for our partnership as we build the premiere sports studio of the future. NFL Films coined the term 'America's Team,' so having this first project be about the biggest brand in all of sports is perfectly fitting."

The docuseries will show the early struggles the Cowboys had under Jones like going 1-15 in his first year of leadership in 1989 and losing $1 million a month to being the standard in the sports world when it comes to marketing and financial success.

Jones's daughter Charlotte, who serves as the team's Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, will be an executive producer on the project.

"It's a true honor to be the first to partner with Skydance Sports and NFL Films on this very special and deeply personal project," she said, via NFL.com. "Sharing my father's journey and his passion for the game, while presenting it in partnership with this talented and accomplished group will take sports fans, fans of business, families, and everyone watching on an adventure like none other."

This is all but certain to be entertaining if nothing else.
