The Dallas Cowboys will host a playoff game this weekend when they take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated matchup, the team is making an important request to fans. If you're attending the game or know somebody that is, you can help them out directly by passing the message.

It's a white out! That means fans are being asked to wear white to the game to crank up home-field advantage to the next level. Both college football and NFL teams tend to do this to get people in the stands fired up in an effort to make the most out of playing at home.

The Cowboys were perfect at home in the regular season, going a clean 8-0 with the vast majority of games being won by a blowout. Based on the team's announcement of the white out game, it looks like fans will find towels waiting for them in their seats when they arrive at AT&T Stadium.

As for the uniforms, it appears the Cowboys are wearing the usual home combo: White jerseys, silver helmet and pants. If you ask me, that'd be a missed opportunity to use the icy white helmets they've been pairing with the color rush. We'll see if they change their plans before next Sunday.

What home field advantage means for the Cowboys

As for what home field advantage means for Dallas, just take Micah Parsons' word for it:

"Obviously, being at home is an advantage," Parsons told reporters following the team's win over the Commanders. "You don't have to deal with the traveling. You have all your treatment, and obviously, you get to play in front of the best fans in the world, Cowboys Nation. So, you know, that always turns a page. It's always super loud in there. They've got certain counts and things like that, so you get better get-offs, better gist of the game."
