The Dallas Cowboys defense that will take the field on Sunday will be significantly different from the one that took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 last year. Even without many new names in Dan Quinn's unit, the experience will go a long way in making sure of that.

Just look at defensive tackle as a clear example. Two of the three Cowboys defensive tackles that led the team in snap counts in the 2021 NFL Kickoff are not on the team anymore.

The one who is still on the roster is Osa Odighizuwa, who was making his professional debut that night.

The Cowboys' second-year player is expected to start on Sunday Night but will do so with an entire season of experience under his belt.

However, he's not the only second-year defensive lineman set to have a significant role this weekend.

'Big Q' is starting for the Cowboys

In fact, Micah Parsons singled out former sixth-round draft pick Quinton Bohanna as a player that will break out this season.

"I think we've got some older talent, some young talent," said the Cowboys' star linebacker. "We've some guys like 'Big Q.' He's going to make a huge jump this year and be a dominant force for us. He just looks good."

After finishing last season with a 19% snap count, Bohanna is a projected starter on this year's defense. One of the Cowboys' goals this entire offseason has centered around becoming more physical and nasty in the trenches. As a natural nose tackle, Bohanna can be just that for Dallas.

With Carlos Watkins gone, there are a lot of reps to be earned at one-technique, which is where Watkins primarily lined up last year.

For the Dallas Cowboys to fulfill their objective of improving in run defense after a mediocre year in that department, Bohanna will have to live up to the expectations. On Sunday Night, the Bucs provide an excellent opportunity to make a statement as they deal with issues on their interior offensive line.
