The Dallas Cowboys have one special dude in Micah Parsons.
That's clear on Sundays when he turns it up and makes his "Lion" nickname feel more like a description. He started 2023 with a bang as he led the Cowboys to a night to remember as the team got a 66% pressure rate against the New York Giants, the highest in any NFL game since 2019.
But how much Parsons is special is also clear when he talks to the media or on his own livestreams. This guy simply has a different mindset and he's consistently talking about being an all-time great while being humble enough to admit, for example, that Nick Bosa was a better defender last year than he was because Bosa got the Defensive Player of the Year award.
But leading up to Week 2, Parsons dropped a quote that proves how insane he is as a football player: Amid the turf vs. grass debate that's taken the league by storm following Aaron Rodgers' season-ending injury, Micah had the perfect reply, saying he'd play on concrete if he had to.
You see, that could go into the category of "players saying stuff." But with Parsons, do you doubt for one second that he would go out there if they told the team the game needs to be played on the parking lot because the field is on fire? Heck, he might want to play on fire.
The man is built different. Reading that quote makes us itch for Sunday's game against the New York Jets to start already.
