The Dallas Cowboys are inching closer to the beginning of training camp, practically signaling the start of football season. Dallas will head out to Oxnard, California next week as they prepare for action.
In the meantime, Cowboys star Micah Parsons has taken to social media to make a strong statement. Parsons is entering his third season in the NFL and has firmly established himself as one of the elite players in the league.
But he's not satisfied. Which is fantastic news for head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Instead, Parsons is hungry for more and determined to make even more noise this season.
Parsons stated on Twitter that "this year (is) really a statement", indicating that he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder with the season just around the corner. He added that he is "tired of discussion."
The good news is that Parsons does not have to wait much longer to quiet the noise. Dallas will play preseason football next in less than one month, and regular season action is fewer than two months away.
For Parsons, there is not a lot left that he is to prove after two phenomenal seasons to begin his professional career. He has been in the running for Defensive Player of the Year and is clearly one of the most feared defenders in all of football.
However, Parsons has made it obvious that he wants to play in and win big games on the biggest stages. If he does take his game to yet another level, there's no doubt that the Cowboys will be back in position to possibly do just that.
Football season is inching closer and closer as the month of July winds down. With training camp set to kickoff next week, the Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher is hungry to get things rolling.
