Madden is a video game that many NFL fans have grown up playing. Whether it is playing with the Dallas Cowboys or using a team that has your favorite player, the game is enjoyable.

The video game franchise is no stranger to criticism. Gameplay has been a complaint, and their player ratings are always a topic of debate. That is certainly the case this year, as Madden has released its position-by-position ratings.

Stars such as Ja'Marr Chase and Deebo Samuel were snubbed on the top-10 ratings at wide receiver. Now, a Dallas Cowboys' star is also receiving some disrespect in the ratings.

Madden completely disrespects Micah Parsons

Micah Parsons is clearly one of the premier defenders in the NFL. There is no question about that after an All-Pro campaign as a rookie where Parsons terrorized offenses as a pass rusher and as a linebacker.

His rare versatility sets him apart from several at the position in the league. It is a big reason why Pro Football Focus ranks Parsons as the No. 1 linebacker in football entering the 2022 season.

Yet, Madden does not think too highly of the Cowboys' star. The video game rates Parsons outside the top-5 at linebacker with a 88 overall rating. That is pretty outrageous considering the kind of season that Parsons put together in 2021.

To make matters worse, Madden actually dropped Parsons' speed from 93 in Madden 22 to 91 in Madden 23. How that happened is pretty baffling, considering how fast and explosive Parsons plays on the field.

Sure, Madden wants to be cautious about rating second-year players too high too fast. That appears to be the case with both Parsons and Chase. However, it makes very little sense to rate the Dallas Cowboys' star where he is rated.

None of this is a big deal, but it is still puzzling. Nonetheless, the Dallas Cowboys will be counting on Micah Parsons to prove Madden wrong and have another stellar season in the NFL.
