The Dallas Cowboys walk into their Sunday Night Football showdown versus the San Francisco 49ers with the best of omens: A fully healthy offensive line.

The team announced its list of inactive players moments before the game, confirming what the injury report already suggested: Every starting offensive lineman will start the game. In fact, the inactives list includes zero starters regardless of position.

  • LT Asim Richards
  • TE Peyton Hendershot
  • DB Israel Mukuamu
  • WR Jalen Brooks
  • DL Viliami Fehoko Jr.
  • CB Eric Scott Jr.
  • QB Trey Lance (Emergency QB)

Cowboys Inactives Observations

  • The health of the OL translated to fifth-round rookie LT Asim Richards being inactive for the first time in his career. Chuma Edoga will be the backup tackle and chances are he could also be the backup guard. He's played both spots this season filling in for Tyron Smtih and Tyler Smith.
  • Richards being inactive is a result of a good thing (a healthy OL), but it's noteworthy that four of the Cowboys' eight drafted rookies are inactive. DeMarvion Overshown, who's on IR, would be the fifth 2023 draft pick who's not playing on Sunday. The exceptions: DT Mazi Smith, TE Luke Schoonmaker, and RB Deuce Vaughn.
  • This will be Israel Mukuamu's third consecutive game inactive. As noted last week, it's tough to carry six safeties on the roster and Juanyeh Thomas and Markquese Bell have earned significant roles on special teams and at linebacker, respectively.
