The Dallas Cowboys may not have the best overall offensive line anymore, but right guard Zack Martin has been at the top of his position since he came into the NFL.

Martin has suited up for the Cowboys for nine seasons and he's made the Pro Bowl Bowl and been named an All-Pro eight times. His combination of technique and power mixed in with pure nastiness has made Martin as dominant a force on the interior as the NFL has seen in quite some time.

Pro Football Focus doesn't just recognize that but they added a cherry on top. They deemed Martin, even as he enters his 10th season, the best guard in the league

Martin’s 72.8 PFF grade last season ranked ninth among guards, but in every other season of his career he finished with a top-five grade at the position. He was the only guard in the NFL to not allow any sacks while playing 700 or more pass-blocking snaps, and, on balance, it’s hard to see him not being one of the best guards in football in 2023.

Martin has been incredibly disciplined over his career. He's only been called for 20 penalties with just two holding calls and two false starts over the last five years.

Quarterback Dak Prescott, as well as Tony Romo before him, haven't had to worry about too many interior defensive linemen getting through on Martin's side. He's only allowed nine sacks, 105 hurries, 136 pressures, and 22 quarterback hits in 5,237 pass-blocking snaps.

Martin missed two games with a knee injury in 2018 and six in 2020 with a calf issue. He has played in and started all 137 games besides those.

Like a fine wine, Martin is aging gracefully.
