The Dallas Cowboys have had a busy week so far. On Monday, they signed veteran T.Y. Hilton to a one-year deal, giving them a much-needed upgrade at wide receiver.

Wednesday saw the Cowboys do some more roster churning. They signed defensive tackle Anthony Rush to their practice squad and claimed cornerback Trayvon Mullen off waivers.

Rush has bounced around between eight different teams since going undrafted in 2019. He's only played in 30 career games and logged 40 tackles and a half-sack. However, Rush is another big body on the interior on the Cowboys' defensive line which suffered a huge hit with Jonathan Hankins going down with a pectoral injury last week and being placed on injured reserve along with right tackle Terence Steele.

Mullen was a second-round pick of the Raiders in 2019 out of Clemson. He's notched 31 career starts and registered four interceptions and 29 passes defended during his career. Mullen hasn't reached the potential of where he was drafted but he joins MacKensie Alexander and Kendall Sheffield as depth signings by the Cowboys due to Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown suffering season-ending injuries.

These aren't flashy moves by the Cowboys, but they are strategic.
