It's easy to feel let down about the way the season ended for the Dallas Cowboys.

Not only did they lose but Dak Prescott's play disappointed with a poor performance against the San Francisco 49ers. Specifically, he threw a couple of interceptions that meant a lot in a 19-12 game.

The response by the Cowboys was strong. They moved on from Kellen Moore, who was the offensive architect of the team since 2019. In doing so, they're betting on Mike McCarthy's ability to run an offense. The head coach will call the plays with -probably- his job on the line.

The whole thing has an "all-in" feeling to it. Dak Prescott's contract expires after 2024, Mike McCarthy is on the hot seat, and Trevon Diggs, Micah Parsons, and CeeDee Lamb are players that will demand big contracts very soon.

But NFL analyst Bucky Brooks has a very promising take on the Cowboys: They're his sixth team with the biggest Super Bowl window in the entire league. In a recent article, he listed his Top 8 teams with the biggest championship windows entering the offseason.

"Dak Prescott is coming off a disappointing season, but he has been a fringe top-five quarterback during parts of his career, and his performance could surge with Mike McCarthy taking over as the offense's primary play-caller," writes Brooks in the article.

The national analyst also recognizes the team has a few needs before progressing into a legit title threat. But that doesn't deter Brooks' view of the Cowboys chances of winning big in the future.

"Although Dallas needs to add some more weapons around CeeDee Lamb to become a more explosive offense, the franchise quarterback has a track record of success as a hybrid game-manager/playmaker in an attack that has been balanced and productive in the last two seasons under its Super Bowl-winning head coach."

Although the fans' frustration has been significantly higher than usual, it's true that this is still a very legit team within the NFC. Having the Eagles in the division complicates matters but the Cowboys will remain relevant for years to come.
