Little did we know when we woke up today that it was a holiday but Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons says it is.  In a tweet on Tuesday, he wished Cowboys a happy July 11th.

Random? Maybe. But the picture explains it all.

That's right, Parsons is just making a reference to the Cowboys' defensive duo made up of Trevon Diggs (7) and himself (11). It's cool to see players of the caliber of Parsons enjoying the little things.

In all seriousness, the duo has been named by more than one outlet as one of the best in the NFL, and for good reason. Diggs followed up his 11-interception season with a year in which he showed improved coverage skills and better tackling.

The addition of All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore opposite of him should help take his game to new heights.

As for Parsons, what can we say? He's already established himself as one of the best defenders in the league. In his first two years in the pros, he's earned Defensive Player of the Year votes. After adding a little weight to be more durable in 2023, Parsons might be in for his best season yet.

Not to mention, Mazi Smith's arrival as a first-round nose tackle will allow Dan Quinn to manipulate the opponent's pass protection schemes to maximize Parsons' impact on the field.

We'll have to wait a few more months to see them on the playing field but in the meantime, happy 7/11. y'all!
