Cowboys: The NFL is robbing Micah Parsons

The NFL finally figured out a way to keep Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons from lighting up the stat sheet.
While teams are out there double-teaming the pass rusher, chipping him, or making reads off of him, the league opted for a more original approach.
They'll just rob him instead.
See, the official stats had Micah Parsons down for one sack in last Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. That would be from his strip sack at the end of the game that led to two Dak Prescott kneel-downs to finish the game and improve to 5-2.
The only problem is, that wasn't the only time Parsons brought down Jared Goff. As you can see in the tweet below, what was originally credited as a Dorance Armstrong sack, was clearly made by #11. Dorance doesn't even touch Goff even though he made a good play himself (Sorry Armstrong, we still love you).
On Tuesday night, the Cowboys' edge rusher demanded his sack be credited to him on social media.
Who cares about ONE sack? some will ask. I can assure you when you're aiming for the NFL record, fans and players care.
Because make no mistake about it, Micah is aiming for the record. Eight sacks (which is what he should have after two last Sunday), would put the Cowboys' second-year player on pace for 19.4 sacks over 17 games. The record is 22.5.
Micah can't spare any sacks!
The NFL is already working on it
Okay, this is a fun storyline, there shouldn't be any drama here.
Adjustments are already being made. In the league's official Game Statistics & Information System, Parsons is already being credited with two sacks against the Lions.
However, the season numbers remain unchanged with only seven sacks. Expect them to be adjusted soon.
Here's what the NFL's Top 3 sack leaders should look like once the change is made:
- NE Matthew Judon, 8.5
- DAL Micah Parsons, 8
- SF Nick Bosa, 7
Even the NFL's tactics to stop Parsons failed. Not surprised.
