The Dallas Cowboys made a big decision on Thursday.

Since the 2022 season ended, it was apparent that the Cowboys had to figure out what to do at the running back position. Well, they made one thing clear, Tony Pollard will return, and he will be franchise tagged if no deal is reached by Tuesday's deadline.

Pollard was sensational last season. Finally getting pretty much a split of the carries with Ezekiel Elliott, Pollard led the Cowboys will 1,007 rushing yards and added nine scores while also racking up 371 receiving yards and three more touchdowns.

The former fourth-round pick garnered his first Pro Bowl honor in the process.

All that's left now for the Cowboys is whether or not they will keep Elliott on the roster. Elliott has said that he's willing to take a pay cut to stay, and the Cowboys have expressed the desire to keep him, but that all depends on if a common ground is reached on the financial side.

No matter what happens with that situation, Pollard, the Cowboys' most explosive offensive weapon, will be wearing the star in 2023 regardless.
