It's a new day for the Dallas Cowboys.

After years of not making major offseason moves, the Cowboys have acquired five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore from the Indianapolis Colts for a fifth-round compensatory pick.

Talk about making a splash.

Although DaRon Bland showed he was a stud as a rookie in 2022 with a team-leading five interceptions, Cowboys All-Pro cornerback Diggs has never had another shutdown corner on the other side of him. Gilmore provides that for Diggs, and it could lead to his best season yet.

Gilmore had a procedure to fix a meniscus tear in his knee that had troubled him for a while last offseason. As a result, Gilmore had a good year for the Colts in 2022 with 66 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 passes defended.

So, there's still plenty of tread left on Gilmore's tires despite him heading into his 12th NFL campaign.

The Cowboys now have Diggs, Gilmore, and Bland as their top three cornerbacks which sets them up nicely for 2023.
