The Dallas Cowboys continue to do the abnormal when it comes to their dealings during the initial free agency period.

After trading for Pro Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore earlier this week, they have now acquired wide receiver Brandin Cooks from the Houston Texans for a fifth-round pick this year and a sixth-rounder in 2024.

This move should certainly make Cooks a happy man.

Once the Texans fired former head coach Lovie Smith after one season in January, Cook made it clear he wanted out.

"I'm not looking at it as far as being a part of a rebuild, however that looks," Cooks said, via ESPN. "That's why I trust my camp and my representation to be able to get a map from here to there and to see what that looks like to be a part of something that has a trusted plan."

Well, Cooks is now on his way to Dallas to join a team that's won 12 games in each of the last two seasons and has CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup on the roster, making them quite the trio at wide receiver.
