One member of the Diggs family stole the show during the Dallas Cowboys' 40-0 win over the New York Giants and I'm not talking about Trevon, who recorded one pass deflection, one forced fumble, and three tackles.
I'm talking about his son, Aaiden Diggs.
Just like he did during Hard Knocks in 2021, Aaiden was on national TV featuring a wholesome moment as Trevon Diggs – his father and All-Pro Cowboys cornerback – handed him the football following one of the Giants' three turnovers of the night.
Diggs' comments after the game made the moment even better:
"He asked me before I got [an interception] and said ‘Dad, can you get me a pick [interception] ball?’, and I said ‘Ok, I’ll try.’, and it just happened," Diggs told reporters after the game. "(The Giants) threw the ball and I got a forced fumble, so I said ‘Here you go. This is good enough."
Isn't dad father-son goals? He didn't get the interception exactly, but he still delivered for his son with a game ball after a big play. Perhaps that's what motivated Diggs to seek a fumble when the game was already 40-0 in the fourth quarter.
That forced fumble wasn't the only big play of the game for No. 7. In the first quarter, he delivered a big hit on Giants RB Saquon Barkley that sent the ball flying up in the air into the hands of DaRon Bland, who took it to the house for a 16-0 first quarter lead.
Both highlights go a long way in silencing the narrative about Diggs' physicality (or alleged lack thereof). He's become a violent and efficient tackler despite all of the critics.
But for Diggs, there's no getting caught up in a big game as he calls for his teammates to move on from a dominating win quickly.
"We need to put this game behind us and try to do it again next week," Diggs said. "I feel like we have a standard that we need to live up to. I feel like we hold everyone to that standard of just getting the job done, executing all across the board and if there is a play to make, make sure that you make it."
Next week, the Cowboys will have to make the plays against a well-known rival in new threads: Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Here's hoping they show up like they did at MetLife Stadium.

They really proved it.
