The Dallas Cowboys didn't win their preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday. However, they may have lost a lot more.

Rookie linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a knee injury making a tackle against running back Zach Charbonnet. The fear is that it could be a season-ending ACL tear for him.

Overshown will have an MRI on Sunday to determine the damage. But veteran safety Jayron Kearse went to his Twitter account to express his feelings about the young promising defender.

Overshown has had a very good training camp, displaying the speed and ability to dissect plays quickly while roaming sideline to sideline. Also, his coverage skills have shown up, which isn't surprising seeing as he's a former safety.

In the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Overshown was credited with six tackles, which included a huge stop on a third down play in the first quarter.

Overshown, if the MRI results are positive, has a great chance to make a major impact as a rookie behind presumed starters Leighton Vander Esch and Damone Clark.

A positive sign is that Overshown was seen walking normally as he went into the locker room in his street clothes. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he's in the clear when it comes to a possible ACL tear.

The Cowboys and Overshown will be waiting patiently for the verdict so that the next step can be taken.
