Is Mike McCarthy going to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 2022?
That's a question that we don't know the answer to quite yet.
On Wednesday, McCarthy gave a somewhat cryptic update on his job status.
McCarthy told reporters that he spoke with owner Jerry Jones after the game on Saturday and again on Monday.
When McCarthy was asked about how his job status was addressed with Jones, the Dallas head coach responded that he and Jones had "very positive conversations".
That doesn't sound like anything has been decided for sure. There has been no official announcement that McCarthy will be back.
It feels like Jones is leaning toward bringing McCarthy back next season, but there's room for that change.
We should have more clarity on the situation in the coming days.
