Earlier this week, Pro Football Focus published its 2020 NFL All-Rookie Team. It comes as no surprise that the Dallas Cowboys are represented in said team. What is a surprise though, it's who's actually representing the team. Many would take a quick guess and say CeeDee Lamb made it, but in reality, it's Center Tyler Biadasz who earned the honors.

Biadasz, the Cowboys' fourth-round draft pick in 2020, started only four games in the season but got significant playing time in another two. Between injuries and competition with veteran Joe Looney, Tyler Biadasz didn't start past Week 8.

That will probably change in 2021. Joe Looney's contract will expire in the offseason and he'll turn 31 next August. The veteran didn't set himself apart from the rookie throughout 2020.

But given the Cowboys' season in the offensive line was a disaster, the coaching staff gave Looney the nod. Perhaps they were looking for some stability after going through plenty of combinations in the lineup.

A closer look at Pro Football Focus All-Rookie Team should quickly calm down Cowboys fans' expectations. While Tyler Biadasz should be praised for the award, it's worth pointing out there were only two candidates, Broncos' Lloyd Cushenberry and himself. Cushenberry had a terrible season, ranking last among qualifying centers.

Below is PFF's description of Biadasz:

"His PFF grade of 53.6 at center this season ranked 33rd among those same 37 qualifying centers, but he did edge out teammate Joe Looney (53.1) on a Dallas offensive line that was interchanging parts all season."

Next season, Tyler Biadasz will have the opportunity to play with way better teammates. Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, and La'el Collins should all be back and healthy for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott will be under center, and it'll be Kellen Moore's third year as the team's offensive coordinator.

Speaking of reasons to be excited about the Dallas Cowboys offense in 2021, CeeDee Lamb is the rookie fans expected to see in this list. But keep in mind, the three winners are all worthy opponents. Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, and Brandon Ayiuk are all players with bright futures ahead of them.

Lamb managed to reach 1,017 yards from scrimmage on 84 touches. He averaged over 12 yards per reception and scored six total touchdowns. The Cowboys' first-round draft pick pulled this off playing with quarterbacks like Andy Dalton, Ben DiNucci, and Garrett Gilbert.

We shouldn't be upset that he wasn't recognized as one of the top rookies in 2020, but excited about his future in next year's offense.

The Cowboys entered this season as Super Bowl contenders in the NFC and left as a Top 10 Draft pick. But despite plenty of needs to address before they give it another shot in 2021, the 2020 rookie class is another reason to be excited about the future. That includes not only Lamb and Biadasz but Trevon Diggs, and Neville Gallimore if not more.
