Mock draft season is rolling strong with only three more NFL games left to be played. The Dallas Cowboys hold the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and many have an opinion on which route the team should take.

If you ask most Cowboys fans, defense needs to be the way to go. Whether that be in the secondary or defensive line, it is obvious that the defensive side of the ball must improve in order for the Cowboys to truly contend next season. There are a handful of defensive backs that will likely be in consideration for Dallas when they go on the clock.

Defensive line is a little trickier, as there is no bonafide star interior lineman in this year's crop. Alabama's Christian Barmore is widely considered to be the top guy at the spot, but it appears that he could wait until the second-half of the first-round to go off the board.

Then, there's the improving the offense even more argument. Kyle Pitts is a freaky talent at tight end and wide receivers Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and Ja'Marr Chase are considered to be elite weapons.

After taking CeeDee Lamb in last year's first-round to pair with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, it is hard to imagine the team adding another wideout on day one this year.

There is an argument to be made that taking Pitts — despite already having Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz on the roster — would be worthwhile, as it would have the potential to take an already talented offense to the next level.

Others, such as The Athletic's Dane Brugler, have mentioned offensive line as a possibility for the Cowboys in round-one. Northwestern's Rashawn Slater has been the popular choice if Dallas goes that route, but there are a handful of offensive linemen with first-round grades in the 2021 class.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah currently has an offensive tackle falling to the Cowboys in his latest mock draft.

On Friday, Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft of the cycle, and he joined Brugler in sending an offensive tackle to the Dallas Cowboys.

While Brugler slotted Slater to the Cowboys, Jeremiah chose a different tackle in this spot — a player that often considered to be a top-5 selection come April.

Sewell could go as high as No. 3 overall to the Dolphins, but there's a chance he slips to the Cowboys. They need to get younger and more talented along the offensive line.

Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell is ranked as the top talent at the position by many in draft circles, but Jeremiah sees the 6-foot-6, 331-pounder falling to the end of the top-10 as we sit right now in late January.

Offensive tackle may not be the biggest immediate need for Dallas going into the 2021 season, but there are some concerns surrounding how much longer Tyron Smith has left in the tank and the way the offensive line performed this past season while dealing with a number of injuries. Dak Prescott is a good enough quarterback to where you don't need stars at every offensive line position, but it is still smart to invest in that part of your team.

It seems unlikely that Penei Sewell will fall outside of the top-5 right now, but if he does, it would be difficult for the Dallas Cowboys to pass on the Oregon star.
