There is a lot of speculation on which direction the Dallas Cowboys could take early in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Offensive line seems like an obvious choice. Wide receiver and pass rusher are two other intriguing options that the Cowboys could opt to target in round-one. There are multiple needs that the team must address through the seven rounds of drafting.

Set to make its first pick at No. 24 overall, the Dallas Cowboys will have decisions to make. That will be especially true if a top talent — such as safety Kyle Hamilton, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, or defensive back Derek Stingley — fall further than expected.

In just the past two drafts, elite prospects have fallen to the Cowboys in the first-round. CeeDee Lamb dropped to Dallas in 2020, while Micah Parsons was still on the board for the Cowboys in 2021.

Therefore, the Cowboys are making sure to do its due dligience in its draft prep.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it known that the team will like to add an offensive lineman early in the draft. That has been the thought process for a while now, considering that Dallas has yet to address the need up front after releasing La'el Collins.

However, Jones did add the caveat that the Cowboys could go in a different direction if a CeeDee Lamb- or Micah Parsons-type talent is on the board.

The Cowboys are set to meet with several likely first-round selections. That includes a trio of wideouts, a potential top-10 pick at offensive tackle in Charles Cross, and freakish defensive lineman Jordan Davis.

It remains to be seen if any of those players are still available when the Cowboys make its first-round pick late in the round; however, the list is notable, because Dallas almost always uses these visits to set up its draft board.

Texas A&M offensive lineman Kenyon Green and Boston College guard Zion Johnson are two prospects that have been linked to the Cowboys throughout the draft process. However, if one of the other aforementioned players fall, it could be difficult for Dallas to pass them up.

The upcoming weeks leading up to the draft will be very interesting to follow.
