The Dallas Cowboys got back in the win column in week 13, beating the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. While it was not the prettiest of Cowboys performances, all that matters is Dallas finding a way to get back to its winning ways.
Now, Dallas has a mini-bye week before taking on the Washington Football Team in week 14. The Cowboys get nine days off — instead of the usual seven — prior to an important divisional game at FedEx Field on Sunday.
Dallas holds a two-game lead in the division, but Washington has won four straight games — including a 29-19 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a few weeks ago. The Cowboys would create some breathing room with a win over Washington this week.
COWBOYS SET TO WELCOME BACK KEY PIECES

Dallas has been hit by injuries this season — especially as of late. The good news for the Dallas Cowboys is that it looks like the team is set to welcome some important players back into the fold.
DeMarcus Lawrence returned to action in the win over the Saints. It was the first game that Lawrence was in uniform since week one. Two more defensive linemen will be back on the field as soon as this week.
Randy Gregory had been on a tear this season before injuring his calf in practice a few weeks ago. That injury sidelined Gregory for four games: Falcons, Chiefs, Raiders, and Saints. Adding him back to the defense is huge for Dan Quinn's side of the ball.
Neville Gallimore has not played a regular season snap in 2021, but that is close to changing. A preseason elbow injury has sidelined the 2020 third-round pick, but Gallimore is on track to play in week 14. As good as rookie Osa Odighizuwa has been, Dallas needs another body in the interior of the defensive line.
Reinforcements are on the way for the Dallas Cowboys for the final stretch of the 2021 regular season and into the postseason.
