With the Super Bowl and the 2021 NFL season in the rearview mirror, it is time to shift the focus to the offseason. To be more specific, it is time to get into some of the top draft prospects and how they relate to the Dallas Cowboys.
Wide receiver is a position that the Cowboys could look to address through the draft. Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, and Noah Brown are all set to hit free agency. There is also some speculation that Dallas could move on from Amari Cooper.
That means that there is a chance that the Cowboys could be facing an offseason where they need to reshape the wide receiver room. Fortunately, there is some strong wide receiver talent in this year's draft class.
TOP PROSPECT COMPARED TO LAMB

Ohio State star wide receiver Garrett Wilson is one of the top pass catchers in the 2022 NFL Draft class. Many, including NFL Draft guru Dane Brugler of The Athletic, consider Wilson to be the best receiver of the bunch.
Wilson emerged as one of the elite wideouts in college football while playing for the Buckeyes, compiling 143 receptions for 2,213 yards and 23 touchdowns in Columbus. His smooth playing style and big-play ability established him as a go-to option.
Brugler ranksWilson as the no. 1 overall receiver and the no. 11 overall prospect in this year's class. Wilson is a game-breaking talent that Brugler compares to Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Despite his average size, he makes unbelievable adjustments on the football and is comfortable with bodies around him. With his slender frame, elite body control and catch point skills, Wilson reminds me of CeeDee Lamb.
Being compared to a player of Lamb's caliber is pretty strong praise. Brugler also ranked Lamb as the best receiver his respective draft class.
The 17th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft eclipsed 1k receiving yards during his first full season with Dak Prescott. He also earned his first Pro Bowl nod.
A five-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, Wilson played his high school ball in the Lone Star State. Wilson emerged as an elite recruit at Lake Travis in Austin before beginning his successful collegiate career.
It is unlikely that Wilson falls to the Cowboys' first-round pick that sits at 24th overall. However, it was unlikely that Lamb was going to fall to Dallas two years ago. Crazy things happen in the NFL Draft.
Perhaps we could see Garrett Wilson return to the state of Texas and team up with the wideout he is being compared to.
