Areas the Dallas Cowboys will need to address is the offensive line and wide receiver. The health of Tyron Smith has been an issue for six seasons now, and there's no telling which wide receivers will be back in 2022.

Whether it's free agency, or the draft, both are areas of need and concern.

It's possible their troubles could be solved from a 3-1/2 hour drive down Highway 45. News from Houston isn't just around Deshawn Watson. It looks like other key players will soon be sold off.

For perspective, these three make up the three highest 2022 Texans cap hits. Tunsil and Cooks make up a total of $30,350,000 next season.

According to Over The Cap, if the Texans were to trade Cooks before June 1st, they would save $8.7 million in cap space and have $7.5 million in dead money. For Tunsil, they would save $9.5 million in cap space and with $16.6 million in dead money.

Would the Dallas Cowboys be willing to take on these contracts?

Both players have an out after this next season. Cooks has no more guaranteed money owed to him, while Tunsil is guaranteed $10 million in 2022. By the end of the season, he also won't have money guaranteed, and both would save the Cowboys $18.5 million in cap space next off-season as pre-June 1st cuts.

On the field, they offer much in areas the offense lacked.

Tunsil arriving obviously puts Smith's role on the team into question, unless Tunsil were to slide inside to guard as he did his rookie season. Theoretically improving the position with Connor Williams hitting the open market.

Having Cooks is reliability at the receiver position, eclipsing 1,000 yards in six of his eight seasons. His ability to stretch the field went missing from this offense during the time Michael Gallup was out. Despite being a seasoned vet, Cooks can still cook.

The likelihood of seeing the Dallas Cowboys making a move like either of these is going to be dependent on price and how they feel about the positions as they stand today. There's no doubt that they would be welcomed additions, that would greatly improve the offense.
