What started off as a down-the-road possibility for the Dallas Cowboys back in August is starting to feel like a probability. Chances are Odell Beckham Jr. has already been claimed in your Fantasy Football league as his return seems to be legitimately close now.

On Tuesday, both Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones made notable comments on OBJ without committing to any transaction. But it sure is interesting whenever the answer goes beyond the generic "we look into every possibility to improve our team."

McCarthy talked about the free agent wide receiver and the possibility to have him on the Cowboys and pointed out he's "heard so many excellent, excellent things about him.”

The conversation has gained so much steam that Bookies.com revealed its betting odds for Odell Beckham Jr.'s landing spots made by analyst Adam Thomspon, who's seen as one of the best NFL handicappers in the business.

And wouldn't you know it, the Cowboys are considered the favorite to land OBJ. Here are the odds, which are a projection more than anything else.

  1. Cowboys +250
  2. Packers +300
  3. Giants +450
  4. Rams +500
  5. Buccaneers +650
  6. Chiefs +1200
  7. Bills +1200

As I discussed on Sunday's episode of A to Z Sports Primetime (which you can check out here), the biggest question to define if the Cowboys can land the former Giant is if they can convince him they'll get to play home games in the playoffs.

That's because the Philadelphia Eagles are 8-0 and holding the #1 seed in the conference right now. That doesn't help the Cowboys out. Wouldn't OBJ want to play with a team with an easier path to a deep playoff run?

What surprises me the most about the above odds is the Packers being rated so high. At 3-6, you could even question if they'll make the postseason. As for the AFC behemoths, I'm shocked the Chiefs and the Bills are out of the Top 5. I'd make those two teams the favorites.

But Thompson explains his reasoning for the Cowboys being #1.

"Beckham’s family reportedly prefers Dallas as the destination." That would fit with a recent OBJ tweet that points out his family living there.

If the Cowboys are able to land OBJ over the next few weeks, the offense could very well have one of the best wide receiver trios in the playoffs.
