Now that the Dallas Cowboys know their opponents for 2022, a few things stand out; the QBs they'll face and the number of teams with winning records from 2021.

The Cowboys have head-to-head matchups against both Super Bowl teams, LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, and some future Hall of Fame QBs: Tom Brady, Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers. Plenty of obstacles to handle.

Aside from the top ended opponents, there are also the teams who clearly got better. In the same regard of the Bengals, who the Cowboys will play, a team can go from last place to Championship contender in a season.

In this case, the Dallas Cowboys will get to play against some of the most improved teams in the league. While it doesn't necessarily mean any of these teams will be the next turnaround story, it's worth noting.

The Cowboys got better, worse and stayed the same in many areas. All these teams are much better than they were just three months ago.

5) Detroit Lions

Key Additions: DJ Chark, Aiden Hutchinson, Jameson Williams, Josh Paschal, Kerby Joseph

Aside from the QB position and Jared Goff, the Lions have long-term answers across their entire roster. Their offensive line is rejuvenated, and defensive line is headlined by a pair of young rookie edge rushers.

Even if there is questions with Goff at quarterback, he will have an arsenal of weapons at his disposal. The return of TJ Hockenson, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds, combined with the additions of DJ Chark and Jameson Williams will give this offense every chance to score.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys are still better on paper, the Lions shouldn't be overlooked.

4) Indianapolis Colts

Key Additions: Matt Ryan, Stephone Gillmore, Alec Pierce, Jelani Woods, Bernard Raimann, Nick Cross

Matt Ryan is an unquestioned upgrade over Carson Wentz, even at this stage in his career. Ryan gets to be protected by an upgrade at offensive line and some of the best young offensive stars in the game.

Pairing Alec Pierce with the already reliable Michael Pittman, with combine standout Jelani Woods should equate to plenty of scoring. The Colts also have a decent running back as well.

Adding All-Pro Stephon Gillmore with Kenny Moore should provide the defense with plenty of skill in the secondary. Throw in rookie defensive back Nick Cross and what's one of the elite defenses in the game, has gotten even better.

The last time the Cowboys played the Colts, Andrew Luck was still QB and Dallas scored zero points. Indianapolis is a quietly good team who could wind up playing in January.

3) Jacksonville Jaguars

Key Additions: Brandon Scherff, Foley Fatukasi, Evan Engram, Christian Kirk, Foyesade Oluokun, Zay Jones, Travon Walker, Devin Lloyd, Luke Fortiner, Chad Muma

The Jacksonville Jaguars took a page out of the Bengals and Miami Dolphins playbooks and spent their off-season loading up talent to help their young quarterback.

2) Philadelphia Eagles

Key Additions: Haason Reddick, AJ Brown, Kyzir White, Jordan Davis, Cameron Jurgens, Nakobe Dean

The progression of Jalen Hurts will factor heavily on the Eagles season. He took a step in 2021 and Philadelphia made the playoffs, and the organization has added pieces all around the team to make the progression easier.

Even though the Eagles have Dallas Goedert, DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins, it wasn't enough. Adding AJ Brown to the receiving corps, and Cameron Jurgens to the offensive line only strengthens their reserve for the future. Especially with future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce playing the role of mentor.

On defense, the Eagles added quality names on all three levels. Nakobe Dean falling to them in the third is already looked at as one of the steals of the draft, pairing him with his college teammate, and athletic juggernaut Jordan Davis.

The off-season additions of ILB Kyzir White and edge rusher Haason Reddick give the Eagles one of the best, young front sevens in the league. Exactly what the Dallas Cowboys don't need.

1) Cincinnati Bengals

Key Additions: La'el Collins, Hayden Hurst, Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, Daxton Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, Zachary Carter

The Bengals made it to the Super Bowl, despite having the most sacked QB in 2021 (51). How do they make sure they return? Fix the offensive line.

The Bengals added three new starters to their offensive line to pair with Jonah Williams and Jackson Carmen; center Ted Karras, right guard Alex Cappa and right tackle La'el Collins. Giving their offensive line the biggeston makeover of the NFL off-season.

Adding Hayden Hurst fills in for the loss of CJ Uzomah, to pair with what might be the best receiving trio in the league. Possibly even more fire power for Joe Burrow with even more time to throw.

Even though the Bengals added most of their talent on defense through free agency in 2021, that was reserved for the offense this season. It didn't stop them from drafting quality defensive backs like Daxton Hill or Cam Taylor-Britt.

This looks to be one of the toughest matchups for the Dallas Cowboys. It also looks like one of their most evenly matched. It's never easy to play a team who made it to the Super Bowl. Especially a team who's made its biggest weakness into a strength.
