The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most explosive offenses in football. That much has been established and is extremely clear.

Dallas ranks tops in the league in points per game, yards per game, and yards per play with Dak Prescott behind center. Prescott has been hitting on all cylinders, and the Cowboys have no shortage of weapons.

Cooper Rush filled in nicely against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night. Rush threw for over 300 yards and led an impressive game-winning drive to keep the Cowboys' winning streak alive.

Along the offensive line, Terence Steele has done an impressive job of filling in for La'el Collins over the past few weeks. Steele has played so well in the coaches' eyes that he kept his starting spot in Collins' first week back from suspension.

Rush and Steele are not the only two players that have stepped up for the Cowboys offense.

WILSON HAS EMERGED IN GALLUP'S ABSENCE

There was some concern when Michael Gallup went down with a calf strain late in the Cowboys' week one loss to the Buccaneers. Gallup has been a downfield threat for the Cowboys since entering the league. Everyone knew that the Cowboys would have to adjust without him on the field.

Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb certainly make that a lot easier for the offense. Those two have a strong argument as the best receiver duo in the NFL. Still, the Cowboys have seen others step up in Gallups' absence.

Cedrick Wilson has filled in spectacularly for Dallas. The 2018 sixth-rounder has carved out a nice role behind the Cowboys' top-three wideouts. Now, he has taken advantage of the opportunity presented to him.

Wilson has grabbed 14 catches for 228 yards and three touchdowns in the six games without Gallup on the field. He is averaging over 16 yards per reception in that span and has become an important piece in the Cowboys offense.

Dak Prescott trusts him in big moments — evidenced by a fourth and goal situation against the Eagles where he connected with Wilson for a score. Cooper Rush found him three times for 84 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Kellen Moore has even let him throw the ball twice this season!

Cedrick Wilson makes the offense that much better because he adds another weapon for Prescott and Moore to work with when Gallup returns. Most teams don't have the talent or the depth to matchup with Cooper and Lamb — much less Gallup, too. Adding in Wilson puts even more stress on secondaries.

Wilson does not have the playmaking ability of Cooper or Lamb. He doesn't stretch the field quite like Gallup. Still, Cedrick Wilson will be a very important player for the Dallas Cowboys for the remainder of the season.
