Defensive tackle is one of the biggest needs for the Dallas Cowboys to address this offseason. Beefing up the interior of the line of scrimmage could go a long way in resulting in wins.

The Dallas Cowboys will likely bring Gerald McCoy back into the fold. Antwaun Woods is another possibility to be brought back. 2020 third-round pick Neville Gallimore flashed as a rookie.

Still, the Cowboys could use some upgrading at the position. One problem? There is not a clear-cut top defensive tackle prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft at this point in the process.

Alabama's Christian Barmore is one name that has emerged in the discussion. Barmore closed the collegiate season strong and could be in play for a top-15 pick in April.

Another name that will be towards the top of defensive tackle rankings is NC State's Alim McNeill.

McNeill is the latest in line of talented defensive linemen to come out of North Carolina State. He possesses a 6-foot-2, 320-pound frame and became a force in the middle for the Wolfpack.

The Raleigh native decided to stay home over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and many more. He turned in 77 tackles and 10 sacks during his three seasons playing for his hometown team.

Pro Football Focus ranks McNeill as the second best defensive tackle prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft. That makes him a player that Dallas Cowboys fans need to get familiar with between now and April.

Dallas currently holds two draft picks inside the top-50 — 10th overall and 44th overall. There is a decent chance that defensive line could be addressed with one of those two selections.

The North Carolina State product jumped on the Talkin' The Draft podcast, via the Blogging The Boys network, to discuss a number of different topics. McNeill talked about his experiences playing in the ACC, his baseball background, and even when he received a scholarship offer from Alabama.
