The NFL Draft is a month away, which means the Dallas Cowboys will be making its selection in no time.

Fortunately, the Cowboys have been one of the better drafting teams around the league. From recent first-round gets of Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb to late-round steals in Dak Prescott and Cedrick Wilson, Dallas has done well.

There are multiple directions that the Dallas Cowboys could take in April. Wide receiver became a big need after Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson departed. Offensive line is a glaring whole which became even bigger during free agency.

Pass rusher and best player available are two other options. Point being: the Dallas Cowboys should have plenty of options to choose from early in the 2022 NFL Draft.

COWBOYS DRAFT STRATEGY REVEALED

The thought process as of late has been that the Dallas Cowboys will target offense early and often in the draft. With more holes on offense, that really isn't much of a secret.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones outright confirmed that strategy during a press conference on Monday. Jones, who loves to speak with the media, discussed the potential of adding an offensive lineman with an early selection.

Connor Williams is off to the Dolphins, and the Cowboys released La'el Collins, who has since signed with the Bengals. The two were starters for the bulk of the 2021 season and now must be replaced.

Combine that with concerns about center Tyler Biadasz, this route makes a ton of sense; however, it is not very often that you see a team owner come out and say it so openly a month before the draft.

Boston College guard Zion Johnson, Texas A&M offensive lineman Kenyon Green, and Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum are all legit possibilities when the Cowboys make its selection at No. 24 overall. All three would have the ability to solidify the interior offensive line in Dallas.

Jones did mention that is the route that the team will likely take — unless a top talent falls. Those prospects likely include LSU defensive back Derek Stingley Jr., Ohio State receiver Garrett Wilson, or a top pass rusher.

Offensive line is definitely the best bet to be the pick by the Dallas Cowboys in round one. Which prospect that the team likes the best remains to be seen.
