The Dallas Cowboys are easily one of the most hated franchises in all of professional sports.

Whenever Dallas loses a big game, the internet — specifically social media — is immediately inundated with memes making fun of the Cowboys and their fans.

It usually looks something like this

You don't see stuff like this when the Pittsburgh Steelers lose or the New York Giants lose (at least not to the same extent).

Earlier this week, Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons gave his thoughts on Dallas receiving so much hate from opposing fan bases.

“They’re jealous," said Parsons on The Jim Rome Show. "There’s envy. Regardless of what happens, we’re still a top organization, and people hate it. They hate it."

"They want their team to be the Cowboys so bad," added Parsons.

Dallas hasn't won a Super Bowl in a quarter-century, yet opposing fans still celebrate like their team just won the Super Bowl anytime the Cowboys lose in the playoffs.

It's really bizarre. Maybe Parsons is right — it's just jealously that emanates from the Cowboys' standing as an all-time iconic franchise not just in the NFL but in all of sports.
