The Dallas Cowboys offense has been rolling through six games of the 2021 season. Dak Prescott is a true MVP candidate. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard might be the best 1-2 punch in football. Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Dalton Schultz have all turned in big performances.

Dallas has a strong argument to having the best and the most dangerous offense in the NFL. Yet, the Cowboys are still waiting for the return of the biggest pieces of the offense.

Michael Gallup left week one's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a calf injury and has been sidelined since. However, the expectation is that Gallup will return to action shortly after the Cowboys' bye week.

A to Z Sports' Mauricio Rodriguez recently wrote on why the Dallas Cowboys would be foolish to trade away Gallup. The 2018 third-rounder is set to hit free agency this offseason, which has prompted some trade speculation.

However, Michael Gallup is just too valuable to what the Dallas Cowboys do offensively.

As good as the Cowboys have been through the air in 2021, Dallas is missing the deep-threat element. Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb both have the ability to stretch the field vertically. With that said, both of them may be even better after the catch.

Additionally, Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown have both stepped up in Gallup's absence. That said, neither strike fear into defenses and don't have the same ability to beat you deep.

Gallup has formed a dangerous connection with Dak Prescott. Gallup has been a legit go-to threat down the field since the team acquired Cooper at the trade deadline in 2018. Gallup's role is the deep threat in the offense.

Gallup is averaging 15 yards per reception over his career. He averaged over 16 yards per catch and totaled 1,107 yards and six touchdowns in his last full season with Prescott throwing the ball.

The connection and chemistry between Gallup and Prescott is evident. Michael Gallup has showcased the ability to take the top off the defense on several occasions. He will add an extra element to an already potent Cowboys offense when he returns to the field.

Forget trade talks and speculation. Michael Gallup makes the Dallas Cowboys better.
