Last Sunday's 30-16 loss was a bizarre one as the Cowboys were dominated in all three phases of the games.
Numerous drops, lack of execution, and missed tackles resulted in the Cowboys being held scoreless until the 4th quarter.
The Cowboys have hit the film room and practice field to work out those miscues from the loss.
Here are three things the Cowboys can do to get back to their winning ways.
Bootlegs, screens, and jet sweeps
The Cowboys' offensive game plan looked similar to Jason Garrett's conservative approach after the two failed fourth-downs.
One way to not be so predictable is to call those bootlegs, screen passes, and jet sweeps like they were calling during their win streak.
Sunday against the Broncos knew what plays were coming and just put themselves in a position to stop it.
Kellen Moore calls bad matchup plays, Dak Prescott did not do well pre-snap, and the offense was not physical.
If Moore can get back to the creativity with these three options in short-yardage situations, they can keep opposing defenses honest.
Keep Dak on the practice field
Since Prescott's rookie season, he has been known as a "gamer" due to his ability to perform when the lights are on.
Also, when he does not regularly practice, his lack of preparation is well on display.
That is what he saw on display as that statically his worst game he has ever played as a Cowboy.
About 75% of his throws were either high, low, or simply off-target, which cost the team scoring opportunities.
In this play, Ceedee Lamb was able to break free up the field for a possible touchdown, but Prescott overthrew him to end the drive.
On a normal day, Prescott makes this throw in his sleep but two straight weeks out of action hurt the team.
Hopefully, the coaching staff can not let Dak take too much time off if they are confident he is as healthy as they are saying.
Otherwise, this may be a trend if they do not come up with alternatives before gamedays.
More designed blitzes
The Cowboys' pass rush was very disappointing as they could not take advantage of a beat-up Denver offensive line.
The Broncos had three backup linemen and the Dallas defense could not get any consistent pressure.
Teddy Bridgewater made great throws, had plenty of time in the pocket, and his offensive executed on every snap.
The Cowboys also missed a total of 14 tackles which was a season-high.
They played with great intensity against the Vikings but not so nearly as much on Sunday.
What's next?
The Cowboys better clean up these areas as they will be taking on the Falcons, Raiders, and Chiefs over the next 12 days.
All three offenses are great in play-action and they will need to be on their A-game if they want to get back on track.
This Sunday on the road in Atlanta will be a big test for how this defense responds to a pass-happy attack.
