Jerry Jones concerned about running attack

The Cowboys rushing attack has been almost nonexistent over the past four weeks as they posted a 1-3 record.

The recipe that worked so well during their 6-game win streak has not been on display in November.

The Cowboys are 26-0 when they have more rushing attempts than passing attempts as they can control the time of possession.

As of late, Dak Prescott has used his arm to win games, which has made the offense one-dimensional.

Let's break down a few reasons why Jones has hinted that he has not been impressed in the running game.

Jerry confirms Zeke will be featured on Thursday

Jerry hinted on his radio show, (105.3 the fan) that Ezekiel Elliott will have a heavy workload Thursday night against the Saints.

Even though Elliott has been dealing with a knee injury since the Panthers game, you can see how it has affected his performance.

Pollard has given the team a spark but not at the same capacity early on in the season.

In large part, due to opposing defenses knowing how dominant Dallas was when they were running the ball efficiently.

Jones has made it clear that he wants to see the offense feature the running game, which was the key to the team's success.

Lack of 100-yard rushing games

The last time the Cowboys eclipsed 100 yards rushing as a team since their Oct. 17th matchup against the Patriots.

It has been over an entire month since the team has had any success with their rush attack.

Head coach Mike McCarthy came out to the media and said he was concerned with the health of Elliott and may sit him so he can heal up.

Jones eliminated any doubt and shut down any possibility of Elliott missing any action.

Everyone knows Jerry has the final decision about what he wants to see on the field during games.

He may get his wish and look forward to seeing the running attack on displays Thursday night.
