The Dallas Cowboys (8-4) will be in some upcoming hard-fought and smashmouth division battles as they take on the Washington Football Team on Sunday.
They will be seeing the Football Team twice over the next three weeks, which is their most hated rival.
Dallas has gone 2-2 over their last four games while Washington is riding a four-game win streak.
They have started their "WE WANT DALLAS" chants as they are confident in taking first place in the east over the next few weeks.
They won both matchups last season, but Dak Prescott was not available as he holds a 7-1 record against Washington.
As we gear up for Sunday, let's dissect three ways the Cowboys can pull one off against the Football Team.
Let Tony Pollard run the show
Over the last two weeks, we have seen running back Tony Pollard score and make plays all over the field.
Against the Oakland Raiders on Thanksgiving, Pollard was able to run back a 100-yard kickoff return.
These are the types of plays that can gain momentum for Dallas, especially if they can get a lead early in the game.
When Dallas has been the first team to score, they are undefeated so far this season.
With Pollard's agility and shiftiness, he can be used on outside runs, jet sweets, and toss sweeps like on this play.
His burst through the holes is what they will need to happen against a solid Washington defensive front.
Zeke may not be 100 percent on Sunday, but Pollard has shown he contribute in a variety of ways.
Parsons and Lawrence wreck havoc in the backfield
Micah Parsons has been unbelievable so far in his rookie season as he has made the Dallas defense better in all phases.
His speed and athleticism are rare for a player his size and we get to see it on full display every Sunday.
The Cowboys will need his playmaking ability against Washington's rushing attack that is averaging 137 yards during their win streak.
Demarcus Lawrence has been a force on run-downs for several years for Dallas.
He will help seal the edges when Washington RB Antonio Gibson tries to bounce to the outside.
Football Team will try to run screens to Gibson and Micah use his speed to make stops.
If these two can be the x-factors on defense, the Cowboys' will increase their chances at winning the division.
