With the 2023 NFL Draft officially behind us, it's time to dive into the Cowboys draft class, head first.

Patrik (No C) Walker, team insider from DallasCowboys.com, joined A to Z Dallas' Will Steele today for the first installment of The Scientific Method, on the Dallas Morning Show.

Today, they discussed NFL Draft superlatives, talking about the biggest sleeper of the class, and who should have the biggest impact from day one, while analyzing the Cowboys class from top to bottom.

The Cowboys led off their 2023 class, taking Michigan NT Mazi Smith in the 1st round with the 26th overall pick. Smith is a freak athlete with incredible strength and run-stopping ability on the defensive line. He should be a day 1 contributor to the Dallas defense. In the 2nd round, they added another Michigan guy, drafting TE Luke Schoonmaker, a big-bodied, prototypical TE, that should fit in nicely alongside Peyton Hendershot and Jake Ferguson.

Jerry Jones added some nice depth in the following rounds, taking Texas LB DeMarvion Overshown, DE Viliami Fehoko Jr., OT Asim Richards, and CB Eric Scott.

In the 6th round, they made one of the cooler picks of the draft, taking Kansas State RB Deuce Vaughn, son of Chris Vaughn, the Cowboys assistant director of college scouting. That pick is one that Walker and Steele discuss extensively in today's episode above.

Patrik and Steele bring the heat today, giving you all the insight and analysis into the Cowboys 2023 NFL Draft class. We will get our first glimpse of the rookies next weekend, as the Cowboys begin rookie mini-camp on May 13th.
