Dallas went defense-heavy in the 2021 NFL Draft. That strategy worked well, at least through one season.
Micah Parsons was the gem of the class, nearly winning Defensive Player of the Year honors as a rookie. But, it was more than him.
Kelvin Joseph showed some promise in the secondary. Osa Odighizuwa looks like a productive player up front. The team remains high on linebacker Jabril Cox, who had his first season ended early due to an ACL tear.
This time around, it appears that the Dallas Cowboys could use a similar strategy — just on the opposite side of the ball. With needs at wide receiver and offensive line, that would make the most sense.
WHY SIGNS POINT TO OFFENSE FOR COWBOYS

The Dallas Cowboys still have the ability to compete for a championship, despite a less than ideal offseason on paper. In order to capitalize on that, though, the team must fill some holes on the offensive side.
Dallas is confident that Pro Bowler CeeDee Lamb will take that next step. However, it would be smart for the Cowboys to add another pass catcher early in the draft with Amari Cooper no longer on the roster. That is especially true with Michael Gallup recovering from a torn ACL.
Up front, the Cowboys saw starting left guard Connor Williams sign with the Miami Dolphins in free agency. Then, Dallas decided to cut starting right tackle La'el Collins, and he went on to sign with the Cincinnati Bengals. That makes addressing the offensive line a priority.
With those two areas needing to be addressed, the Cowboys are bringing in several potential first-round prospects for pre-draft visits. That includes offensive linemen Kenyon Green out of Texas A&M and Zion Johnson from Boston College.
However, maybe more interesting, is that the Cowboys are meeting with multiple first-round propsects at receiver. In fact, the only receivers that Dallas is scheduled to meet with are projected to go on the first night of the draft.
All three of London (16), Burks (13), and Olave (25) are ranked inside the top-32 in Dane Brugler's top-100 rankings for The Athletic.
The Dallas Cowboys are clearly doing their due diligence on high quality pass catchers. That is very logical with Cooper and Cedrick Wilson departing in the offseason, combined with the receiver talent in the current draft class.
It remains to be seen which position the Cowboys prioritize the most. How the board falls will play a role in determining that. However, one thing is — almost — for sure: the Cowboys are looking offense in the first-round.
