There wasn't a team last season that had as crucial injuries and as many of those crucial injuries as the Broncos, at least in my opinion. At one point, they had the most money on the injured reserved list, which is just crazy.

One of their biggest injuries was to their star second-year running back Javonte Williams. Williams was a guy who almost had 1,000 rushing yards the year before after being a rookie and the second-string back for most of the year.

But, he ended up getting hurt halfway through the season last year. Well, I wouldn't even say halfway, as he only played four total games. Williams ended up with several different tears in his leg, causing him to be out for the rest of the year.

Now, we have been patiently waiting for an update. We still don't know if he will even be ready for training camp, or even Week 1. On Thursday during their pre-draft presser, the Broncos general manager George Paton gave us all a small update.

"Javonte [Williams] is doing really well in his rehab," Paton said of their star running back. "We don’t have a date, but we feel good. We feel good that he’ll be back this season. We’re not entirely sure when. He’s progressing very well."

The thought is that he won't be ready come Week one, which is a huge reason they signed Samaje Perine to be their starter while he is out, and then when he comes back, have a two-running back system in 13 personnel.

The Broncos will likely be without Williams and Tim Patrick to start training camp, which isn't great. But, having injured players is something the Broncos and their fans have grown accustomed to now.
