The Denver Broncos can't seem to catch a break.

Unfortunately, just days removed from Tim Patrick being out for the season with a torn achilles, there's been yet another season-ending injury for the team. This time, on the defensive side of the ball.

Mike Klis, from 9News, broke the news that ILB Jonas Griffith had torn his ACL, meaning his season would be over. A brutal blow to the defense and the entire organization.

While initially an undisclosed injury, Griffith had missed the team's practice on Wednesday. The linebacker, as CBS Sports reports, left the field with the help of trainers. So far, in his young career, Griffith had amassed 46 tackles and an interception.

Griffith's role was going to be that of depth, being able to provide a spark off the bench if needed. Now, Denver is losing out on another promising young player for the entire season.

With Sean Payton hoping to turn things around, his job is getting increasingly difficult by the day as players are missing substantial time with injuries.

The injury bug plagued the team last year, and it's rearing its ugly head once again this season. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for the young linebacker.
