The Denver Broncos just received some bad news.
On Monday, the Broncos had an injury happen at camp. Tim Patrick, who was gearing up to play in 2023 for the first time since 2021, got injured in camp again. This time, instead of an ACL, it's on the opposite leg and is believed to be a worse injury.
According to ESPN's insider Adam Schefter, his sources have told him that {atrick tore his Achilles, which is one of the more difficult injuries to come back from in all of sports.
It seems like Patrick can't catch a break. Now, not only will he be out for the year, he will have to do the recovery and rehab process all over again.
After practice on Monday, Payton had a feeling it was the Achilles.
"Yeah, but we're evaluating his left Achilles," Payton told reporters. "That's what we think the injury is. [We] can't confirm it until he gets an MRI, but there wasn't any contact."
If it is the Achilles, in the opposite leg of his ACL injury, he will be out the entire 2023 season. If it is something less than that, we may see him this year.
Now all we can do is wish, hope, and pray that Patrick is fine, and if he isn't, send good vibes his way.
