The Denver Broncos think there could be an Achilles injury with Tim Patrick.

On Monday, the Broncos had to cart Patrick off of the field as he went down with a non-contact injury, holding his leg and the back of his ankle.

Last season, his 2022 campaign ended prematurely as he tore his ACL in training camp. He had been working the entire season and summer to get back; now, it could be even worse.

After the practice, Sean Payton addressed the media and told them what he thought the injury could be, and it didn't sound good.

"Yeah, but we're evaluating his left Achilles," Payton told reporters. "That's what we think the injury is. [We] can't confirm it until he gets an MRI, but there wasn't any contact."

An Achilles is tougher to come back from than an ACL, especially at Patrick's position. You hope it isn't that, but if it is, man, that is some of the worst news the Broncos could get and even worse for Patrick.

Payton said they will get an MRI and find out more. You can only hope Patrick is fine.
