The Broncos had a disastrous 2022 season. Almost everything that could go wrong did, and I don't think you can find one Broncos fan who disagrees.

The disaster all started with the Rusell Wilson trade last off-season. While there is still time to turn things around, that trade is not off to a great start.

Wilson had the worst year of his career, and the Broncos had to hand over the fifth pick in the draft to Seattle.

They were also not a particularly exciting team to watch, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The Broncos scored the least amount of points in the entire NFL last season and could never get consistent play on that side of the ball.

To top it all off, the Broncos were one of the most injured teams in the league.

Broncos fans are generally ready to forget the 2022 season and move on to 2023.

Broncos fans are not the only people that feel that way. When asked about last season, Payton had a brutally honest response:

Payton says there is "a little bit of dirt on a lot of people's hands" when discussing who is responsible for the team's struggles. He goes on to say that the film was tough to watch, something Broncos fans can relate to.

While it may hurt to hear, the fact that Payton understands that last year's product was unacceptable shows that he is the right man to turn things around.

Hopefully, the 2023 film will be much more enjoyable and easier to watch.
