Sean Payton and George Paton aren't messing around.

This entire offseason has been about bringing back the championship-caliber football that Denver Broncos fans are accustomed to.

With their latest splash signing, Denver has bolstered their defense and taken a key piece away from their division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. Broncos fans should be excited about the future of the organization, at least for today.

The blockbuster acquisition reported was that the Broncos would be signing former Chiefs DE Frank Clark, per The Score's Jordan Schultz. The defensive end will look to make an immediate impact on the roster.

The three-time Pro Bowler spent the last four seasons in Kansas City which resulted in 55 games started, 23.5 sacks, 127 combined tackles, and a single interception and safety. Previously, Clark had played four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

Mike Klis from 9news.com reported that the team is signing Frank Clark to a one-year deal worth $5.5M. Adam Schefter of ESPN gave further details on the contract structure.

Denver still has to play Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes twice a year, and Russell Wilson simply needs to be better. However, the organization is doing everything in its power to turn a new leaf and be competitive.

From bolstering the offensive line to getting Wilson more weapons, to beefing up the defensive line, this team should look vastly different than the subpar product that was shown to fans last season.

Denver is starting to build an impressive unit, it will be up to the organization to unlock their true potential. Whether it's positive or negative, the Broncos are going to be must-watch tv next season.
