The Denver Broncos recently made some moves on Monday.

The Broncos signed former UNLV wide receiver Nick Williams, but to do so they had to let go of one player to fit Williams on the 90-man roster. This is where the surprise comes in – they cut running back Damarea Crockett.

Crockett was on the team last year, and the year before, however, he didn't play last year because he tore his ACL the same day Tim Patrick did in training camp. But last year, going into the season, he was slated to be the third-string running back.

Had he not gotten hurt, there was a time when the Broncos needed him and likely would have used him a ton. That's why this cut is so surprising.

However, the Broncos have made several cuts this offseason where they talked about bringing that player back and even did it once with running back Tyreik McAllister, so, let's not rule that out here.

Either way, the Broncos are making some moves.
