The Denver Broncos spread the ball around plenty in Week 1. Unfortunately, wide receiver K.J. Hamler was not part of that. In Week 2, it is looking more likely that Hamler will not play. The WR is dealing with both a hip and knee injury.

The decision on Hamler isn’t made quite yet, but there is a clear trend. Without Hamler, expect Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton to dominate the targets for the Broncos. Running back Javonte Williams will be heavily involved once again, most likely.

The Broncos will clearly be patient with Hamler, and they should be. Rushing him back will only make it more difficult for him to be healthy later in the season.

They miss his explosiveness, but a fully healthy Hamler is worth the wait for the Broncos. Keep an eye on his availability going forward.
