The Denver Broncos have had plenty of special talents at wide receiver during their franchise's history. WR Emmanuel Sanders certainly fits that bill. Sanders was one of the best talents on the field during his time in Denver, but he was also beloved off of the field. Sanders announced his retirement from the NFL this morning.
Sanders spent six years with the Broncos. In those seasons, he caught 404 passes for 5,361 yards and 28 touchdowns. He averaged 13.3 yards per receptions for Denver.
Sanders was a first-down machine for Denver, and he consistently made plays downfield as well. Teammates and coaches always raved about his leadership and demeanor, too.
The former Broncos' wideout will forever be remembered as a Bronco.
